- Hi,
- I have recently aquired a sportster 9600 Baud
- fax/modem (I think 1991 version).
- When I use it with Delrina Wincomm it works fine.
- However if I try using twinsock (troy rollo winsock)
- or trumpet winsock, it dials fine but it fails to correctly
- interpret the data stream resulting into junk
- pumping into the screen(a bunch of fs xs and black boxes).
- This limits my access to the outside world to text, while
- I acquired it for graphical net browsing.
-
- One salient feature about this mode is that it has
- jumper switches to optimize its operation over some
- known communication software (e.g. Procomm Plus)
-
- Anyone out there who is experienced enough to point out
- the problem and hint a solution. Is there probably
- a certain initialization string that I do not know of.
